Sales Slip 5% for Fiscal Year at Colgate-Palmolive

Global conditions overall are challenging, says CEO Cook.

Colgate-Palmolive Company reported worldwide net sales fell 4.5% to $3.7 billion in the fourth quarter 2016. Global unit volume decreased 5.5%, pricing increased 2.5% and foreign exchange was negative 1.5%. Excluding the impact of the deconsolidation of the company’s Venezuelan operations, unit volume decreased 1.0%. Organic sales grew 1.5%.
